Donna D. Blevins tutors a child using her tools and teaching methodology

Donna D. Blevins

Donna Blevins, honored by the Tennessee State Legislature for her work in
early childhood education, founded Be Smart Kids as a result of
experiences in government, community and teaching that brought her close
to the myriad of problems in American educational systems and the realization that without change America’s children would be unable to compete in the world market of tomorrow. In 1991 combining proven educational techniques, cutting-edge computer technology with scientific research, she began developing an innovative, fun, 30-minute weekly process for preschoolers that have proven phenomenal results. Research has shown children who work with the process for a least two years score 2 to 4 years above their peers and that includes at-risk children. Blevins motto is: “we must prepare rather than repair and give every child an equal opportunity at a quality education.”
